Viper Deck 500 Ground Protection Rig Mats
The Viper Deck Products protect your expensive turf and provide access and traction over sand, mud, and other challenging surfaces and terrain. Viper Deck mats may be used to create temporary roadways for vehicles, trucks, equipment, large work pads for drilling, administrative compounds and many other industrial applications.
The Viper Deck is a unique molded or extruded plastic mat that is durable, lightweight, flexible and extremely strong. Sections are engineered to provide ground protection and access over soft surfaces, along with a firm support base and traction for numerous activities.
The mats are designed with both rugged and smooth patterns on alternating sides to provide the best fit for any given situation. The rugged pattern enables maximum traction both for vehicles and the ground, and the smooth pattern allows for greater protection of the ground underneath by distributing the weight evenly over a large surface area.
The Viper Deck Mats can be purchased with connector links to securely hold the mats in place and together. This reduces the risk of slipping on the mats as vehicles operate at relatively higher speeds. At instances of high rev driving on the mats, the connectors also reduce any risk of single units from sliding out of place and slipping out from underneath the vehicle.
Please note that the single side tread mats in the 2' x 8' size and 4' x 8' size are available to ship out immediately. All other configurations are available with a lead time of 8-10 weeks.
Available in 2 Prong single connectors or 4 Prong double connectors configurations, these connectors are used to hold the Viper Deck mats in place during deployment to ensure a secure fit and stronger traction.
If you are ordering connectors with your mats, we recommend the following quantity per mat:
2 x Single connectors
1 x Double connectors

The Viper Deck Matting virtually eliminates rutting, soil compaction, and other damage to sensitive grass and turf. It has been used to provide access for trailers up to 80 tons, over grassy fields and other soft surfaces. Traverse equipment easily over sand, mud, snow and grass surfaces, even on gently sloping areas.
The Viper Deck also protects the equipment from undue wear, greatly reducing wear on drivelines and frames that are oftentimes stressed when operating on unstable and harsh ground conditions. You’ll save on labor costs and increase worker safety by not having workers struggle with vehicles and equipment bogged down in mud or unstable ground conditions.
These rig mats are perfect for use in large construction projects and more:
- Outdoor events
- Excavation sites
- Protects valuable turf during landscaping projects
- Creates an instant roadway, pedestrian pathway or work pad over virtually any type of terrain – mud, sand, marshy, uneven or soft terrain
- Superior alternative to plywood and fiberglass - will not warp, rot, crack or delaminate
- Save time & labor getting vehicles and equipment traversed over difficult terrain
- Avoids potential injuries to workers and costly project delays incurred while dislodging vehicles & equipment from mud
