Installation Instructions – SafeResidential™ Ramps
SafeResidential™ Ramps come in various heights, but only two configurations are used: a two-part or four-part assembly (See Set 1 or Set 2 for reference).
Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Prepare the Surface

Ensure the substrate (surface) is clean, dry, and free of debris to maximize adhesion.

Dry Fit the Ramp

Position the ramp flush against the threshold rise to confirm proper fit.

Mark the Installation Area
-
Use painter’s tape to outline the ramp's position (see fig. #1).

Remove the Ramp
-
Carefully lift the ramp off the marked area.

Apply Adhesive
-
We recommend using SikaFlex 1-a adhesive for best results.

Apply the adhesive generously to the substrate using a caulking gun.

Spread the adhesive evenly with a notched cement or grout hand trowel.

Position the Ramp

Place the ramp sections onto the freshly applied adhesive.

Secure the Ramp
-
Apply even pressure across the ramp to ensure it bonds properly.

Adhesive may leak onto the tape and surrounding areas—this is normal.

Remove Painter’s Tape
-
Once the ramp is securely in place, carefully peel off the painter’s tape.

Clean Excess Adhesive
-
Remove any adhesive residue from the surface or ramp using acetone or paint thinner.

Note: Excess adhesive can stain clothing, shoes, and carpets. Immediately clean any spills using denatured alcohol.
