Tips for Tap Dancers
Marley Mats, crafted from Adagio Tour™ material, are ideal for tap dancing. However, to maintain the integrity of your dance surface, it's important to keep your tap shoes in good condition. Regularly check that the screws on your taps are secure and not protruding, as loose screws can damage the Marley Mat by causing gouges, which unfortunately cannot be repaired

Save the shipping box your Marley Mat arrived in. It’s a great place to keep your mat when not in use. Sweep your Marley Mat clean of any dust and debris, then roll the mat up, use a small piece of of floor tape to keep it from unrolling, and then place it back in its storage box.
If you no longer have the box, we recommend rolling the Marley Mat onto a PVC pipe that’s at least 3” in diameter. Avoid storing anything heavy on top of your rolled-up mat as this may damage the mat and make it wavy the next time it is rolled out. These waves can be very hard to remove.
To keep your Marley Mat in good shape, keep it swept with a soft bristled broom to remove dust, dirt and debris. It’s also recommended to clean your Marley Mat periodically with All Purpose Floor Cleaner and a soft, absorbent sponge to remove shoe compounds, body oils, etc.
Abrasive pads and cleansers should be avoided as they may damage the surface of your floor. Cleaners that contain ammonia should also be avoided as they can make the surface slippery.
The first time you use your new floor you may notice shoe marks. Don’t panic! This is 100% expected and a sign that the Marley Mat is doing its job as scuffs are a result of friction between a shoe and the grip of the floor. When the floor is shiny and new, each scuff is very noticeable. After more use the scuffs will start to blend into a “patina” on the floor – just as they do inside dance studios everywhere. Be proud of your scuffs! They are a representation of the hard work you’ve put in rehearsing and practicing at home.
Crafted from the renowned Adagio Tour™ material. This high-grade surface is trusted by touring companies and dance competitions worldwide for its durability and performance.
Marley Mats are designed for quick and easy installation, allowing you to start dancing in no time. Simply unroll the mat and secure it with the included Rosco Floor Tape for a temporary setup that stays in place.
The lightweight design of Marley Mats makes them easy to roll out and roll up, providing a portable dance floor solution that you can use anywhere, anytime.

Love this flooring! Perfect for tap dancing at home.
Showed up quickly and well built.
Love this floor, it is so nice to dance on. You can pivot, turn and slide with ease. Lots of cushion, so easy on the feet and knees. Easy to assemble and de assemble.
I bought the 12” tiles, intending to make a larger dance floor either on grass or concrete, but these aren’t suitable for either one. They still flex in between each tile, creating an unstable platform on grass, and the spikes on the bottom slide too easily on concrete. Even on carpet, they are still too unstable. You’ll need an ideal surface that is laser-level flat, not too firm, and not too soft.
she should have ask do you need edges and corners to complete the floor and make it safe to get on the floor is no good with out them thanks ralph
